POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a dynamic, mission-driven team player who is knowledgeable and creative about how to best promote WoW and assume development administrative functions. The Development and Communications Coordinator should thrive on prioritizing multiple initiatives, and possess strong verbal, and written skills as well as a solid knowledge of design principles, along with an understanding of design and database software.

DEVELOPMENT (50%)

  • Perform data entry function and ensure that donor database content is current and accurate

  • Run reports for use by entire team

  • Monitor online giving software and record-keeping

  • Send donor correspondence such as acknowledgements and stewardship

  • Support annual fundraising events

  • Assist with annual giving campaign

 

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS (50%)

  • Collect, edit, and write client stories, videos, and photos

  • Assist with year-round communications projects such as event programs, invitations, and promotional pieces

  • Maintain website

  • Coordinate the creation and design of the annual impact report

  • Work with the entire team to collect accurate and inspiring content for the e-newsletter.

  • Maintain current brand assets and share with the team to ensure brand adherence

  • Develop and implement a marketing and public relations communications plan.

  • Manage relationships with media outlets, write and send press releases

  • Maintain and enhance social media presence

  • Collaborate with outside contractors where necessary to create powerful design and brand components

  • Compose print paper articles, press releases, and ads. Coordinate multilingual versions.

  • Create design templates for business cards, flyers, promotional materials, etc.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to multitask and quickly learn new software and systems

  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in communications, content creation, graphic design, marketing and/or public relations.

  • Knowledge of relevant technology such as Salesforce, Google Suite, Canva, and Social Media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn

  • Website design and optimization

  • Copywriting and content development

  • At least 1 year of experience in marketing, public relations, graphic design or related field
